     Paleography mainly studies the ancient characters and unearthed documents in pre-Qin, Qin and Han Dynasties. It covers the interpretation, textual research and studies on various types of unearthed ancient writing materials, including oracle bone script, Chinese bronze inscriptions, bamboo slips and silk, stone carvings, seals, currency, etc. At present, paleographology at JLU has the most complete faculty on unearthed documents in China, enjoying an excellent reputation in academic research and talent cultivation within the field.
